My son Doug suggested I come to Ontario for my summer trip in June since Linda would be in Europe on a cycling holiday and I would be able to go with him to a couple of speaking engagements. Well the events didn't materialize but I more than made up for that with going to a Blue Jays baseball game, spending time with my grandchildren, who are no longer children, and just having a great father/son time. And I went to Oakville to be with Heather as my readers might have guessed. We went to Stratford, Ontario and took in four plays there. Shakespeare's King Lear was terrific as were The Man of La Mancha, Crazy for you and Mother Courage. We also visited the Art Gallery of Ontario and the Royal Botanical Garden in Hamilton. All in all a wonderful three weeks. And tonight my youngest granddaughter Carolyn will be going to her Prom. So I hope to add a picture of her to this blog.

Here are Carolyn's prom pictures.......with friends, with me and with her parents, brother Geoff and me.
