FIRST FLIGHT FOR THE KIDS AND FIRST TRIP TO VANCOUVER FOR MOM, SHANNON AND DAD, KYLE

After such a wonderful time in St Catharines for my Mother's 100th birthday and at The Great Wolf Resort in Niagara Falls in 2007 (see Blog entry) I was dying to see Shannon and her family again. I knew she and Kyle were fitness addicts and the kids were into and really good at all kinds of activities. But little did I realize just how fit the Couches really are. Despite the 3 hour time difference, at my suggestion Kyle rented bikes for the whole family. I rode my own bike and met them at The Bayshore Hotel and we all.........(Spencer-6 years old and sister Riley-5)....... rode around Stanley Park on the seawall.....all 10 kilometres . But first we had a fantastic lunch at upscale Cardero's Restaurant on the waterfront.
The next day while Dad visited a client Mom took the kids to Science World and then we all had a Greek meal at Stepho's in my neighbourhood. What an amazing time. How very lucky I am.
